I'm a day behind now... I was almost done with a really nice Batman ... but I had forgotten to save for awhile and Photoshop crashed on me... So this is version that isn't as good as the other design I did, I think.

Anyway, there are so many awesome versions of Batman out there, and I've always preferred the darker grittier versions, especially the Nolan films. One thing I like about his costume in the movies is how it looks more like body armor and less like a rubber suit. So I wanted to go with that military urban combat sort of body armor.

Talk about breaking the mold. You took concepts from a thousand comicbooks and movies and made your own. You brought a new vision to the Dark Knight, as real as the cape crusaider will ever be. This suit, this Batman is completely functional. Tactical vest, cowl, boots. Keeping the cape for theatricality.

Your technique is impecable, your line is superb and the colors and shadows are fantastic, I truly love this piece. And let's not speak about impact because I am still getting over the initial shock of this marvelous image.

I must admit I never thought anyone would come up with such a vivd image of a comic book character.

If I were to take to the night and strike fear into the hearts of men, this is what I'd wear.

This is an awesome design; its simple, and it looks realistic. The problem I've had with all the batman armors from the movies was certain parts of the armor were too detailed; real world combat armor is not that detailed. Its simple. Great job.

Not to criticize the Nolan Batman movies, because as a whole I enjoyed that series very much. But I know what you mean about things being over designed. For me, though, it's robots. Transformers, Real Steel and Basttleship to name a couple all have a similar over dose of little mechanical details everywhere that muck up the design to the point where they're all indistinguishable from one another.

I love this Batman model. Like this is Bruce Wayne first Batman prototype when he first started to be batman, before he switch to a different suit later on in life.

I would have thought it was after he got cut while fighting crime wearing tights that he switched to combat armor.

Honestly though, I didn't think too hard about it. ^^;;

I would think that the lighter, more breathable, more flexible, stretchy Kevlar like fabric would be the replacement.

But I don't think Adam West batman had such a suit, he was just lucky. But then Again, he is the Batman. And the Batman makes his own luck.

Damn, now this feels NOT like the Batman show that we deserve, but the Batman show that we NEED!!!

hah hah! Thanks! Though, I'm not sure if I'd be able to pull of a whole cast of characters off.
